We've had such a grand time exploring our new city. Last Wednesday, "Wiggle", Daddy, and I went to the Coosa Valley Fair. "Wiggle" had such a fantastic time! Of course, we rode the carosel, .....several times. We also rode the choo-choo and a spinning "bear". She wanted to ride lots of others, but didn't meet the 36 inch height requirement. (Try explaining that to a 2 year old!). We had corn dogs, and funnel cake, and lemonade, and she "won" a stuffed octopus playing pick-up ducks. She is still talking about how much fun she had.
Friday night was spent at a pizza/game arcade and then Saturday we did lots of shopping downtown. Found an absolutely wonderful children's consignment shop and bought a pair of shoes for Wiggle that I had seen in Montgomery for $50,......and got them for only $16! (I, like Shea, LOVE to get a great deal. And I won't feel the least bit sick when Wiggle falls down and scuffs the toes!) Then Sunday we visited a new church where everyone was very friendly. I was worried Rebecca would be hesitant to go into the nursery where she didn't know anyone, but she went right in and was having a blast when we came back to pick her up. We'll visit other churches, but today's experience was a definate positive. All in all, I am enjoying Rome, and I am looking forward to getting out and doing more exploring!
